Marketplace Pickup & Delivery in Southwest Florida
You found a sofa on Facebook Marketplace for a fraction of retail. It is fifteen minutes away in Cape Coral. The seller wants it gone by Sunday and has already messaged you twice. You drive a sedan. The last time you tried this you rented a van, discovered the item did not fit, and gave up in a parking lot.

You do not need a truck to buy furniture secondhand. A two-person pickup service collects from the seller, loads, transports, and carries it into the room you want it in — usually the same day, and usually for less than renting a van once you count fuel, time, and the friend you would owe a favour.
How it works
Send the listing, not a description
The listing has the photos, the dimensions, and the address. From that we can tell you whether it fits, what it will cost, and how many people it needs — before you commit to the seller. This is the step that prevents the parking-lot version of this story.
We coordinate the pickup window
Sellers on Marketplace are usually working to their own deadline. Once you have agreed a time we deal with the collection directly, so you do not have to be at both ends of the transaction.
Loaded, padded, strapped
Blankets and straps, not a bare truck bed. A secondhand sofa that arrives scuffed is a secondhand sofa you have paid to damage.
Into the room, not onto the driveway
It gets carried in and placed where you want it. If it needs to come apart to get through a door, or reassembling once inside, that is part of the job rather than a surprise at the kerb.

Worth knowing before you start
Measure the doorway before you buy, not after
The usual failure is not the truck, it is the front door, the stair turn, or a lift. Measure the narrowest point on the route and compare it to the listing's dimensions. A sofa that will not turn a corner is a sofa you now own and cannot use.
Inspect before it is loaded
Marketplace sales are final in practice. Sit on it, open the drawers, look underneath, and check for any smell of damp or signs of pests. Bed bugs travel in upholstery and are a genuinely expensive mistake to bring home.
Meet somewhere sensible
For smaller items, plenty of people meet in a public place rather than a stranger's home. Some local police departments have designated exchange areas. For furniture that has to come out of a house there is no way round the home visit, but you do not have to do it alone.
Multiple items in one trip cost less than several trips
If you are furnishing a room, line up several pickups for the same run. The cost is driven by time and distance, so three items on one route is cheaper than three separate jobs.
You may not need to hire anyone for this
The parts you can genuinely handle on your own. We would rather tell you than sell you.
- Measure the item and every doorway, hallway, and stair turn on the route before you agree to buy
- Ask the seller for the dimensions rather than guessing from photographs
- Inspect the item in person for damage, damp, and pests before it is loaded
- Borrow a truck and a strong friend if you have both — this is not complicated work, just heavy
- Combine several purchases into one trip if you are furnishing a whole room

Can you pick up the same day?
Often yes, and it is the most common request — Marketplace sellers usually want the item gone quickly. Send the listing and the seller's availability and we will tell you what we can do.
How do I know it will fit through my door?
Send us the listing before you buy. We will compare the item's dimensions against your doorway, hallway, and any turns, and tell you honestly if it is not going to work. That conversation is free and saves the expensive version of the mistake.
Do I need to be there for the pickup?
Not usually. Once the seller has agreed a time and payment is settled between you, we can collect and bring it to you. You do need to be at the delivery end, or arrange access.
What if it does not fit once you get here?
We will try disassembly first — most sofas, bed frames, and tables come apart further than people expect. If it genuinely will not go, we will tell you the options rather than forcing it and damaging a doorframe.
Can you take my old sofa away at the same time?
Yes, and it is the efficient way to do it. Old one out, new one in, one visit.
