How it works
Choose the old couch destination
Decide whether to retain it, send it for reuse or request disposal. Donation or reuse depends on recipient acceptance; do not assume a destination is available.
Order the stops and tasks
Add replacement pickup, unloading, old couch removal, disassembly, assembly and placement at the relevant address. Several tasks at home share one stop.
Review the whole swap
Share dimensions and separate-piece weights for both couches. Allow for access and transport capacity; a sectional needs additional review.
Measure the whole access route
Record the clear width and height with the door open, plus hallways, turns and landings. Compare those measurements with each furniture piece and confirm which legs or parts can be removed.
Send photos of the tightest point and both locations' access. A diagonal measurement alone does not confirm a fit. The tape in this illustration is not a measurement reference.

Prepare the furniture and clear the route
Empty drawers and remove loose belongings. Confirm with the seller which parts come apart, and keep hardware in a labelled bag. Share condition photos before pickup.
Keep hallways, stairs and loading areas clear; reserve the elevator if needed. Confirm who provides blankets and protection. For a couch swap, specify where each couch will go and whether the old one is kept, delivered for reuse or disposed of.
Worth knowing before you start
Removal is not always disposal
Moving an old couch to another room or delivering it for reuse has no disposal allowance. Labor and customer-route transport still apply.
Disposal includes a service leg
If requested, include travel to the agreed facility and unloading. The facility-to-base return stays out of the customer bill.
Allowances are separate
Small couch $50, larger couch $85 and sectional $100 are disposal allowances, not verified facility fees or complete removal prices.

How the job is estimated
Ordinary furniture is $65 per company crew member per hour for handling and customer-route driving, plus $2.25 per road mile once per vehicle. Dispatch and final return are excluded. Handling allowances, minimums and ordinary trailer charges remain subject to review. Every estimate is a ballpark range, not a booking.

Can the old couch stay in my home?
Yes. Tell us where you would like the old couch placed. Keeping it at home does not incur a disposal charge.
Does every couch swap need a disposal charge?
No. Retention or delivery for reuse has no disposal allowance.
Is disposal included in labor and mileage?
No. The allowance is separate. Travel to a confirmed facility and unloading are customer service; final return to base is excluded.
Can I submit a different budget?
