Holiday Home Refresh & Wall Repair in Southwest Florida

The guest room is clean but the wall is full of old picture holes, the hallway has a dark scuff and the lanai has a few things that should have gone months ago. Family is coming, a listing photographer may visit or you simply want the home to look cared for before the holidays without starting a renovation.

Short answer

To get a Southwest Florida home holiday-ready, start with the small visible repairs guests notice first: fill nail holes, patch dings, touch up scuffed walls, freshen the main rooms and clear leftover items from porches and guest spaces. We can handle the patching, painting and light hauling so the house feels cared for before family arrives.

How it works

1

Start with the rooms guests see

We walk the entry, main living areas, guest room, kitchen-facing walls and lanai. The goal is a short list of high-visibility fixes rather than a renovation wish list that grows until the holiday is over.

2

Patch the small things

Nail holes, anchors, small dents and loose bits of paint are repaired and sanded. We flag stains or moisture that will need primer or a specialist instead of hiding them under a quick coat.

3

Freshen the colour

Touch-ups work when the existing paint is still available and the wall has not faded. Otherwise, a full wall or room repaint gives a cleaner result and photographs better than a patchwork of near-matches.

4

Clear the last visual clutter

Broken décor, old packaging, small furniture and porch items can be removed with the paint supplies. We leave the rooms swept and ready for linens, decorations or a final clean.

Good to know

Worth knowing before you start

Prioritise what is in the sightline

Entry walls, the guest room headboard wall, the living room TV wall and the lanai door area make the biggest visual difference. Fix those first if time is short.

Touch-up paint can show

Even the right colour may look different after years of sun and humidity. If the patch flashes in daylight, repainting the full wall is usually the cleaner fix.

Do not paint over moisture

A recurring stain, bubbling paint or soft drywall points to a moisture problem. Find and fix the source before cosmetic work or the new finish will fail.

Book before the final cleaning

Painting and patching make dust. Schedule the refresh before deep cleaning, linen setup and decorating so the finished work does not create another mess.

Do it yourself

You may not need to hire anyone for this

The parts you can genuinely handle on your own. We would rather tell you than sell you.

  • Make a short room-by-room list of the repairs guests will actually see
  • Remove art, hooks and fragile decorations before patching
  • Test a damp cloth on ordinary scuffs before opening a paint can
  • Keep a labelled sample of the existing wall colour for future touch-ups
  • Schedule deep cleaning after sanding and painting are complete

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you fix wall holes before the holidays?

Yes. We can fill nail holes and anchors, sand small dings, prime patched areas and touch up or repaint the wall. Send photos so we can tell whether a touch-up or full-wall coat will look better.

Will a paint touch-up blend into an older wall?

Sometimes. Sun, humidity and age change the surrounding finish. If a test patch flashes in daylight, repainting the whole wall is usually the more polished and predictable option.

Can you get the guest room and lanai ready together?

Yes. We can combine interior patching and paint with light removal from the lanai, porch or guest room, then leave the spaces swept for your cleaner and decorations.

How far ahead should we schedule?

As soon as you know the arrival date. The room needs drying and airing time, and scheduling before deep cleaning keeps sanding dust from undoing the final clean.

Do you handle water stains or mold too?

We can document what we see and explain the next step, but active moisture, suspected mold and recurring stains need remediation or repair before cosmetic painting. We do not seal an active problem behind paint.
